Helicopter mechanic

Had a long conversation with a young woman (maybe late 20’s) who works as a helicopter mechanic and flies all over the world for her job.  The most interesting thing was her route to that job.  She graduated from Evergreen State College, in Washington, with a degree in Archeology and Art History.  With student loans to pay back after graduation, she joined the Army and became a helicopter mechanic.  She now lives outside of Spokane with her own wine cellar dug into the side of the hill that her house is built on.
